Short Brief:
Anthony is a proven leader, operational planner and
Project Manager who thrives in environments of challenge and
uncertainty. He developed and refined these skills as
an Officer in the Australian Army. He has considerable experience
in working in
environments where safe operations are the priority.
Before joining Beyond the Break, Anthony held a variety of operational appointments. Anthony was deployed to Afghanistan where he served as both the Operations Officer in the Australian Headquarters in Kabul and as the Aide de Camp to the Chief of the Election Task Force. Whilst deployed, Anthony was responsible for the combat continuity training of all Australians located within the Regional Command Capital and for the local security of the Australian Headquarters.
Anthony has fulfilled operational planning roles in senior
headquarters, being assigned
as the Project Manager to raise, train and sustain two deployments
to both the Solomon Islands and Malaysia involving over 120
personnel each. Both operations deployed on time and met the
specifications directed. Anthony's communication skills, pragmatism
and leadership of his multi-disciplined team to achieve safe
outcomes were key to their success.
Anthony's notable charge was as a Platoon Commander in both the 1st battalion, Royal Australian Regiment (1RAR) and the 1st Recruit Training Battalion (1RTB). It was during these roles that Anthony developed his leadership ethos which emphasises effective communication, participative goal setting and above all, integrity and accountability in achieving safe and sustainable out comes in operations.
Anthony holds a Bachelor of Management, Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment and Training and a Diploma of Project Management. He is a member of the Australian Human Resources Institute and the Australian Institute of Project Management. He has three young children.
