Chris has worked as an adviser and consultant, both privately and in government, since 1980. Although most of his work has been in Australia, he has also worked in Saudi Arabia, USA, Malaysia, Thailand, Zambia and New Zealand. His clients have been major government departments and large commercial organisations including ANZ, Australian Aviation College, Westpac, and BHP-Billiton.

In 1993 he took up a position as director of a Canberra-based consultancy group, with
26 staff around Australia. Tasks undertaken included business reviews, evaluation, performance audit, strategic planning, organisational review, program management, and training for change.

In 1996 he became Director of a specialist MBA programme at Southern Cross University. He was responsible for the initial design of the program, development, annual review and update, budgeting, assessment, and lecturing in evaluation, research and workshop facilitation; he also ran workshops in the School of Business. During the period 1994-2002 he also ran over fifty leadership workshops in Australian capital cities.

Most recently he has been coaching senior and middle level staff in the Australian Biosecurity Intelligence Network. Chris has worked on an occasional basis with Stewart Hase since 1995 and with Simon Phin since 2005. He holds a Masters in Psychology, a degree in Education, and two postgraduate diplomas in Management. He is an approved trainer for the MBTI and FIRO-B instruments.
