    In July this year the Deepwater Champion sailed into the Gulf of Mexico. The project: Plug and Abandonment (P&A). ExxonMobil’s (EM) P&A program of 7 wells, in partnership with Transocean, some of which were completed as far back as 20 years ago, is not without its challenges. The superseded down-hole technology/tools can be stubborn, and the wells can be less predictable than you would expect from a ‘spent’ field. Read More

    After 9 months hiatus, Beyond the Break’s (BTB) Greg Homer, Head of New Projects & Start Up’s, has made a return to his beloved Maersk Viking in the Gulf of Mexico (GOM).     After having a very successful Start-up campaign with ExxonMobil (EM) and Maersk in the Gulf of Mexico aboard the “Viking” drill ship in 2014, Beyond the Break (BTB) was asked to return in 2015 to assist with completions. Initially, People & Performance Coaches Daniel McGinley and Craig Churches had just arrived in Chad after travelling through Paris to get the necessary visas.
